Pasta with Minced Meat

You will need :
Minced meat - 500 gms
Mushrooms - sliced - a handful
Garlic cloves crushed - 5
Tomato- finely chopped - 4
Tomato puree -4 tbsp
Red Wine - 1 glass
Meat stock - 1/2 cup
Mixed Herbs - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp ( More if you like it spicy)
Fresh Parsley - 3 stems - finely chopped
How to make the Minced meat sauce :
Pressure cook the minced meat. Strain the stock and keep aside.
In a frying pan, brown the cooked minced meat.
Add Garlic and chopped tomatoes.Saute till tomatoes are well blended.
Throw in the mushrooms and saute for 2 minutes.
Add tomato puree.
To this, add the red wine,stock and herbs.
Bring this to a boil. Then simmer till the sauce thickens.
Cooking Pasta :
Cook the pasta in salted water till 'al dente'
Drain and serve with the minced meat sauce.
Drizzle some olive oil on top.
Notes :
1.Browning the meat is usually done with raw meat. For some weird reason,I prefer this method.
2. Add a few drops of olive oil to the salt water while cooking pasta.
3. Refer package instructions while cooking pasta. The cooking instructions usually differ and it is advisable to refer the packet first for instructions.
