Tomato Chutney - Quick and easy

This is my version of tomato chutney.Quick and easy.
Onions - 2 medium sized - roughly chopped
Tomato - 2 medium sized - roughly chopped
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies - 2
Corriander leaves - 4-5 stalks- chopped
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt and water - as required
Tempering :
Oil - 1-2 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Red Chillies - 1-2 broken
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add urad dal. When they start turning brown, add red chillies. Saute till urad dal turns golden. Take care to see that urad dal does not get burnt.
2. Add onions and saute till the onions sweat.
3. Add tomatoes and salt.
4. On medium flame, saute till the tomatoes turn mushy.Now, add the chopped corriander leaves.
5. Turn off the flame and allow the mixture to cool.
6. Once cooled, grind this mixture into a thick paste. Add water as required ( Little at a time) to aid the grinding process.
7. Heat oil. Add items listed under tempering. Once they crackle, transfer the contents to the ground paste.
8. Serve with Idli / Dosa.
