Black and White Wednesday # 154 - Lure of the Spices

If you are in Kochi, then make sure you visit Jew Town. It is one of the oldest Jewish settlements in India. Most have of the families have gone back to Israel and only a handful remain.

Lot of Antique stores and Spice markets line the narrow street. The prices are high and are targeted at the foreign tourists. So buy stuff only if you are confident about your bargaining skills. In spite of all the enthusiastic sellers, the walk is worth just for the history it holds.
