Kerala Style Beef Fry / Beef Ularthiyadhu

For less than the cost of a Big Mac, fries and a Coke, you can buy a loaf of fresh bread and some good cheese or roast beef, which you will enjoy much more. - Steve Albini

I was first introduced to Beef by my husband. In my growing up years, I was a vegetarian. Chicken was forced down my throat. My quota was one piece of chicken fry without any bones. Thats the maximum I could take. As always, my brothers were happy that I did not eat meat. They never understood why someone has to be forced to have chicken / mutton. I on the other hand, was happy with my vegetables.

Though I have heard that Beef was cooked at my Ammamma's house in Mahe we as kids never got to eat it. My aunt is a great Beef fan. Beef was something I have heard about in stories.

Things changed after my wedding. ( You will get to see this sentence very often in my blog. My family and friends will agree in unison ) I first had beef from a restaurant. I liked it instantly. Then again from a thattukada in Tellicherry. Well, no words. All those eating has led me to this == > Beef is cooked here in my kitchen. I can actually hear the Vegetarian in me screaming her head off.
