French Toast - Quick and Easy

Remember, man does not live on bread alone: sometimes he needs a little buttering up.
John C. Maxwell

If you have kids, then I am sure you have made this many times. My kids like it. Its easy to make and is ready in a jiffy. On days when you are tired, or just lazy this toast will make a nice breakfast.

Ingredients:

4 Eggs
1 teaspoon sugar
A dash of salt
3/4 cup milk
10 to 12 slices white bread
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
butter for greasing the pan

For serving :
Honey or maple syrup

How I made it :

Break eggs into a wide deep bowl. Beat lightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk and Vanilla essence.
Over medium-low heat, heat the pan. Slice some butter and drop on the pan.Swirl the pan so that it is coated with the melted butter.
Dip the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl.
Let the slices soak up the egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side.
Soak only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time.
Transfer bread slices to the hot pan. Cook on medium flame until bottom is golden brown.
Turn and brown the other side.

Serve French toast hot with butter and syrup/honey.

Note :

1. This dish is made mostly for my kids, so I do not add the cinnamon or nutmeg powder. If you love the flavor, I recommend you try adding them.
